-------------------------- The Universe...is an unsettlingly big place, a fact which for the sake of a quiet life most people tend to ignore. (Douglas Adams)

For further proof that planet X is no longer in one piece, read Graham Hancock's "The Mars Mystery". According to Hancock's research and interviews with NASA's astrophysicists and other astroenthusiasts, the "planet" (actually a very large asteriod) broke up approximately 20,000 years ago. The reports about planet X are information from myths and stories from before the above approximate time period. I'd say this is a good reason to celebrate... except, now there are astroid belts that the earth passes through and that by-pass the earth and we are now subject to collision and any time, on a moments notice. carl

Actually there is a contrary suggestion that planet earth is planet "X" and that the Titians, neighbouring Jupiter, are about to blow this rock to smithereens for their own well being... Now you know why I've bought most of the surface of mars and all of the once crown-owned peat moss in scotland. Not to mention my little get-away; the international tin-can-in-space. carl

Well, Hypatia, I do want one of those tinfoil hats!!! How about a trade for a fifth of my Martian Scotch?... Its made from melted martian ice filtered through the best transplanted Scottish Barley and Peat Moss and distilled by the International Orbiting Distillery. carl

I know some folks who purchased land east of the San Andreas fault because they were hoping some Nostradamus prediction would come true around the turn of the millennium? and make them wealthy owners of water-front property. Conservative, n. A statesman who is enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the liberal, who wishes to replace them with others. -- Ambrose Bierce

The Bad Astronomer's debunking of Planet X... http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/planetx/index.html-------------------------- In the fabric of space and in the nature of matter, as in a great work of art, there is, written small, the artist’s signature. (from Sagan's "Contact")
