Hello there, does anyone know anything about Psychokinesis, is it proved by Science? Or is it all rubbish?I have recently been to this website: http://sprott.physics.wisc.edu/pickover/esp.html Can anyone explain the results to me? Lastly this website seems very strange too: http://spellsandmagic.com/page2.html Again do you know if this is proved or not? Thanks a lot!!!!!

Many people have demonstrated it once or twice under conditions they controlled. Absolutely no one has been able to do it any time under circumstances controlled by a qualified skeptical observer. All the hallmarks that the instances when it WAS done were all tricks.

The site you linked to is an author specialising in human perception. Does that give you a clue?
Answer:
Examine the cards carefully. None of the cards on the first page appears in the second page. You mind simply chose to ignore the other similar but different cards, and concentrate on the pattern given by the previous pages of the site. You see what you want to see.
Of course, the point is that with most cases of these psychic phenomena, it is because the viewer desire to see the illusion or this is suggested to them that the thing succeed. Most are merely mind games.
No evidence has ever been really provided, and whenever a scientist or another magician is present, the demonstration fails. There is no known mechanism how this can happen, and despite the $1million offered by randi, no one has willingly stepped forward for examination. It is thus highly likely it is "all rubbish"
The other site is just another gathering place of the believers where they rail against science and the march of the skeptics. What joy.  -------------
