I accidentally found a site that claims magnets could affect the body's metabolism. I have not made some experiments on this but I want to know your opinions on this. The testimonials seem real but I want to make sure. I am an electrical engineer and I know nothing about the so-called "Magnetic Therapy". I had a good friend who used all types of magnetic products (bed liners, automobile seat-pads, etc.). Unfortunately he died anyway.

This wasn't a serious post - it was pure spam. Can a mod at least remove the affiliate ID from the link?

On a serious note, there is no scientific basis for any of these miracle cure claims. AT ALL. Indeed, if anything, magnetic fields may have a small effect that is bad for your health, by aiding the generation of dangerous free radicals in your cells.

The guy (Alexchi) is a complete idiot about biology as well as about magnetizm. Read his explanation of where cells come from (from ginsena), why animals move (forget about muscles here - animals move simply because frequency between pray and predator physically attracts/repels them), and provides similar idiotic explanations for other well explained phenomena.

He is in business is to sell $0.2 magnets to other idiots for $20-$200. He says that he needs this money to pay rent and to buy food.

Perhaps the life-extending properties of these magnets is to be found in the selling rather than the wearing.

Cheese, I looked here cause I thought it said; "Magnetism, the key to immorality" and all I find is someone hawking medical magnetic’s.

The only magnetism I know works in Humans, is the chelating of the iron atom, in the haemoglobin, by the five nitrogen atoms that comprise the chelating arrangement, inside the haemoglobin’s watertight cage
