This article discusses fusion, and proposes an alternative way to control this potentially wonderful energy source. How do we use the strengths of nano-technology to our advantage, and can we design a method to extract the energy more efficiently? Rather than viewing the fuel as a tub of gasoline to ignite and burn into a giant solar blaze, imagine it as carefully contained pulses – like a fuel-injected engine.
