On another thread, someone asked about changes of opinion on evolution/creationism. I was wondering if anyone has had a change of opinion about anything based on posts to this forum.

While I had a change of opinion on war in Iraq (was against, now for), it was more because I felt compelled to think about it, rather than because of any arguments.

Kat has forced me to be more accurate on the facts about my stance on Israel (I am still middle of the road, but now I back my wishy-washy arguements with more accurate facts!)

Mentat gave me a very vigorous and enlightening arguement about the prophet Isaiah in which we both failed to convince the other of our views, but both probably learned a bit.

My experience here has made me even more certain of the paradoxical statement, "Facts are ideas that change from day to day. Opinions are ideas that never change."

I've not changed my mind on any issues, but I HAVE learned that black/white ideas are usually wrong. They are even wrong to the people spouting them, if you can get them to stop screaming for a moment.

A truly open mind has to be open to the possibility that a radical idea, however exciting, may prove to be a load of codswallop!

I don't know if I have changed my mind about glass flowing, but I have doubts now. I would love to remove all the panes from an old house and micrometer them.

Other than that I guess I haven't changed my mind about much. At least 2 of my posts should have changed some minds though. There was a thread about the philadelphia experiment that I posted exactly what really happened and it was ignored while the thread kept on with the same wild speculations. Also my post about how bush got rich should have changed some peoples minds that thought he was a great guy but I bet it didn't.
