Heh.

Bush's speech - much ado about nothing. He shouldn't appear before a camera unless it is something really important. We have all heard this before and frankly he doesn't look so hot in front of a camera.

I realize this is a "ramp-up" speech but jeebus, why run the media gauntlet if you don't really need to?

Hussein's speech - Asinine. Total megalomaniacal sociopath. I just wish I knew arabic so I could better catch the nuances of his speech. For all I know, he really was highly stressed and showed it, despite his lethargic pose.

Did he say he wasn't going to destroy those missiles? I thought I heard that right!

I think Bush should agree to "debate" Saddam on TV. When Hussein shows up, arrest him for war crimes.

Problem solved :D

Hmmm...its a shame that Bush's crappy oration style is an issue...even though it IS pretty lousy.

Tricky way to get rid of Saddam...and I could almost go for it. Can you get his cabinet too?

I wanted to see the Hussein interview, and try and come up with my own opinions before a hundred pundits tried to tell me what to think. I forgot all about it. Damn snow! Damn car battery!

Very, vveerryy, vvveeerrryyy bbbbaaaadddd idea --- guaranteed safe passage to and from parleys among belligerents is one of the foundations of diplomacy and "civilization;" violations of the "white flag" have been treated with extermination as often as not in the past.

Bad, yet somehow attractive idea.
