Poll Question:
I don't post alot, but I read alot. With all these views coming together and such rapid and intelectual discussion, does it really serve purpose?
Do you think PF makes you a better person?

PFs makes a me a much better person. I learn a lot, and I have somewhere to ask my very intellectual questions. I love this place; I have met alot of really intelligent and fantastic people. I don't think I'll ever leave. Ahh, the wonderful obssession!  www.dbzsc.com/vegeta34.jpg

I say it makes me at least a little bit better a person than I was. Here, I can see the diversity of beliefs and opinions that people have, and so, it forces me to adopt a broader understanding and tolerance of what is being said. --That's me!

[It is apparent from my perspective, that I'm a better person but am I that way to others? This forum serves the purpose of allowing a convergence of intellectual thoughts but it is some times trampled by errorant egos. Then what happens to the better self. Like Selx, I don't post alot and I do enjoy the posts and posters alike. Yes, I'm a much better person because I'm allowed an environment where I feel at home. My ego doesen't suffer from rough rebuttals I have some age and experience but there are those that are new to listening and sharing. For those with less experience to feel good about themselves in this intellectual environment where people grow and learn to feel better regarding their points of view we need to be careful. ]

I feel exactly the same. I voted for "Much Better", for the aforementioned (by Majin) reasons. I'd like to add that I like the mental/intellectual challenge that I get from the threads on the PFs.

The site is a place you can go to get educated on many fields of science. The more you learn, the more you realize you don't know.

I voted "it makes me much better".
But you know, this does not happen directly to me.
The way i get use PF the best is that i found what i don't know, this way i can develop myself to learn things i don't know (specially when you see all talking about something you don't know, you suddenly feel that you need to learn that thing (like Calculus for me)).
I also use PF directly to make me better, but i find it a little hard since i can't express myself right, and if i express myself right i can't understand (not always) what others are replying.You've gotta be japaneese !
